As Twitter describes me:
Daydreamer, Head of Department (full time teacher), World Traveller, Surfer, Triathlete, Cyclist, Runner, and a lover of languages – a free spirit! Brit living in the USA.
Over the last 3 years I have become heavily involved with sport events and an active lifestyle. Every April I cycle from Houston, TX to Austin, TX (180 miles). And to fill the time the rest of the year I took up competing in triathlons. A year ago I had intensive surgery on my left knee and in the last few weeks have started getting back into sports and training.
I have set myself a challenge… Ironman 70.3, April 26th 2015 in Galveston, TX.
This blog is going to document my journey to the race as I have become an avid reader of other blogs and stories similar to this. I wanted to share my experiences but also document my training and my nutrition. I have found it very difficult to find any clear information about nutrition in heavy endurance training so I thought I would share my own and see if others would share theirs back.
I am also going to review the clothing/products etc that I use regularly on my workouts in case fellow athletes are curious but not sure about particular items.
If you have something you want me to review, please get in touch.
